MY ACTING / ENTERTAINMENT BACKGROUND
For many years I have been interested in working in the film industry. Having gone to many casting sessions I've had some success in finding work. Although this wasn’t my main type of work I always had some hope that one day I may be able to make a living from this.
Knowing that I would find it hard to find the roles I wanted I decided to take a slightly different route to fame. Always being very active and daring I decided that I wanted to become a stunt man. This too would prove to be difficult as I would have to train in various disciplines such as sword and combat fighting and also do a number of parachute jumps, which would take a lot of time and money to complete.
Fortunately I managed to find a perfect way around this. I heard of a stunt school being run in Hackney, east London, the only one of its kind in the country. I applied and was accepted. The time I spent there learning the trade proved to be very valuable. I performed in many live stunt shows with Pat Whelan’s Stunt Team.
Around this time I had been training as a bodybuilder for a short while and decided to compete in a bodybuilding show. Unfortunately as I could not do both I decided to do bodybuilding. Although I was never to return to the stunt school, it had left a lasting impression on me and made me more determined to somehow in the future get into the film industry.
Over the years from then I attended the occasional casting session. It wasn't until a few years later that I joined an agency and when time allowed attended more casting sessions. I had some success but none so much until I was first selected to become a Gladiator.
